3 Day Introductory Herdsman Foot Course

This 3 day course has been designed specially for the herdsman to gain experience in the 5 step Dutch trimming method so that they can trim their own herd of cows proficiently.

In an exciting tie up with Agricultural Colleges and the XL group of Veterinary Practices, we can bring our courses to a venue near you.

The 3 day course can be the foundation point to lead to an NVQ level qualification. This is attained by attending a further 2 day course after a period of on farm foot trimming, followed by an examination after another period of on farm foot trimming. The examination is practically based, fitting in with the whole ethos of the course - you to acquire the practical skill to trim your cow's feet to both prevent and cure lameness, leading to better cow welfare and higher farm profits.

Courses are taught by fully qualified instructors using the 'Dutch Trimming Method'. All Instructors have undergone the Dutch training to instructor level tuition and are either from the Dutch College or one of the few from the UK who have attained their Intructors qualification.
