Peter Kloosterman is an excellent instructor; with his relaxed and humorous style he makes cattle foot care a pleasure to learn. The course covers the renowned 5 step Dutch technique which allows you to develop the skills to produce a well balanced healthy foot. Contents include choosing the best equipment, knife sharpening & care of tools, dimensions of the foot, treatment of disease and preventative measures. Also includes applying all types of foot block and electric grinder use.

This 4 day comprehensive course is designed for those intending to carry out a large number of trimmings, become a professional foot trimmer or just wants to further your experience.

After trimming about 500 feet, it is advisable to come back to a check day where Pieter will check technique and correct any bad habits. After another spell of foot trimming, you can return and take the DIPLOMA exam.
 
The DIPLOMA is recognised as a mark of quality and high standard by farmers and many professional foot trimmers have taken the exam.
 
The courses are taught by highly experienced instructors from the top Dutch school. Peter Kloosterman is main instructor. He is Head of Foot Trimming in the Dutch college and is a world wide renowned expert in cattle foot-trimming and care. He has the experience and profile to teach you to a very high standard.
 
A course dinner is sponsored on the 3rd evening (typically Wednesday evening) for the group to enjoy.
 
4 days is the minimum time the Dutch school recommend to master the dexterity to perform the 5 step Dutch trimming method.
 
The next 4 day Professional Course is taking place on 20 - 23 April 2009 with the Check Day and Diploma on 24 April 2009. Cost is £675 plus VAT.  Please contact us for further information and a booking form.
