SUMMARY:Embryo Transfer
DESCRIPTION:Embryo Transfer\n\n\n\n\n2 – day course ( 14 CPD Hours )\n\n\n\n\n\nThe driving force behind the course is the commercial availability of the one-step-thaw bovine embryos. These can be put into cows relatively quickly without the need for expensive specialist equipment. This offers a real opportunity for practicing cattle vets to become involved in embryo transfer without having to sacrifice everyday routine work or spend a fortune on equipment. \n\n\nTwo areas of new work are invisaged: firstly\, implanting repeat-breeder dairy cows with one-step-thaw embryos; then\, after pregnancies have been achieved\, implanting pedigree embryos for farmers in your locality. \n\n\nThis new opportunity needs to be grasped firmly by cattle vets\, before others do so. Topics covered during the two-day course will include \n\n\nRecipient management and examination\, including ultrasound.\nEmbryo storage\, handling and thawing demonstration.\nEpidurals\, rectalling\, implanting.\nDemonstrations and practice of technique on post mortem tracts and live cows\nRepeat breeder treatment and results\nLegislation and records\nSynchronization and post-implant alternatives\nMaterials\, costs and charges\n\n\nA practical two day Veterinary CPD course \n\n\nPractical hands-on approach\nCourse structure covers all aspects of embryo transfer including ultrasound evaluation of recipients\nDirect transfer technique used\nLunch and refreshments included\n\n\nThe implementation costs of this service is comparable to one cycle lost in the cow. With a 50% conception rate the service is economically justifiable to the client and brings extra work to the practice. \n\n\n\nBook Now

SUMMARY:Ram Fertility
DESCRIPTION:Ram Fertility\n\n\n\n\n1 – day course ( 7 CPD Hours )\n\n\n\n\nThe reproductive ability of rams is crucial to the overall flock performance. Assuming\, rather than assessing\, the ability of the ram is a common and costly mistake. \nThe general and detailed clinical examination of rams pre-tupping\, at times integrated by semen collection and evaluation\, is a cost effective service which sheep farmers are inclined to endorse as ad hoc intervention or as part of regular flock consultancy. \nCourse Content: \n\nBest use of rams to improve flock performance\nElements of reproductive anatomy and physiology\nThe ram general and detailed clinical examination (with elements of ultrasonography)\nSemen collection and evaluation\n\nKey Outcomes: \n\nAdvise farmers on the best use of rams to boost flock profitability\nCarry out a general and detailed clinical examination of rams\nCollect semen\nExamine semen motility and morphology
